Now these things seem sort of lame when you read about them, but they actually work pretty well and are very easy.

Materials:

Plastic bottle 20oz or larger
Fast burning powder (i.e. black powder, not fountain powder)
Fuse
Tape

Procedure:

1. Make a hole in the bottle cap big enough for the fuse.
2. Put the fuse through the hole with about 1-2 inches coming through.
3. Bend the fuse at the lid and tape it.
4. Put powder in the bottle, just enough to have a thin layer on the bottom. It doesn't take very much, but I havenÔø‡t experimented enough to find optimal amounts.
5. Screw on the cap.

Notes: The fuse must fall into the powder to ignite it or it wonÔø‡t work! This means you must have fuse that burns completely or set it up some other way to ensure the fuse actually drops. IÔø‡ve done this with fuse that burned but not all the way so it didnÔø‡t drop and ignite the powder, it was very dissapointint!
