The powders/chemical components are the most important part of pyro, without it, nothing will happen! There are tons of different powders that can be used, as you can see in the Composition Database. They are some of the simplest mixtures you can make, as many require only two or three chemicals. I have divided this section into two parts. Part one is instructions on the manufacture of a few common powders from their separate chemicals. Part two is other methods of getting powder.

Part One: Standard powders

• Black powder - The most common and useful LE for fireworks.
• Whistle mix (good powder, it doesn't just whistle! I didn't write this one either)
• Flash powder - Easier and more powerful than bp, but more dangerous.
• More comps - Tests of 8 different flash/burst compositions.

Part Two: Improvised powders

• Estes powder - Get explosives at the toy store!
• Bottle rocket/Piccolo Pete powder - It may sound lame, but it works very well.
• Updated! Other sources - Other ways to get powders.
